Heyrose Golf Club: A New Era of Member Ownership

Heyrose Golf Club, situated in between Arley & Knutsford in deepest Cheshire, is a cherished establishment within the golfing community and often described as a hidden gem.

The club has embarked on a new journey as it transitions to a member-owned club. This significant change comes after the members of Heyrose Golf Club recently voted to take over ownership from the Bridges family, who have been the proud proprietors of the club for over 30 years.

Current club captain, Tom Hughes states, 'when the proprietors approached us regarding the possibility of taking over the running of the club, it presented an incredible opportunity for its members to be responsible for the future of the club. A small working party was set up to consider the feasibility of such an opportunity and have worked tirelessly to make a presentation to members to enable them to vote on the proposal. The member's response has been positive, and we now have a mandate to move the club forward.'

The members, united by their passion for the sport and their commitment to the club's legacy, have entered into a 15-year lease agreement, marking the beginning of a promising new chapter. This transition to member ownership is not just a change in structure but a testament to the dedication and collective spirit of the Heyrose Golf Club community.
